2004 Australian Kendo Championships - State Training
The dates for the VKR Squad training's for those attempting to join the VKR team to this year's nationals have now been set. This years VKR State coach's are Sensei Brett Smith and Arpad Maksay. The first training is on Saturday 31 Januray 2004. Click on the Events Calendar for more details on training.
All applicants for the team should have previous shiai experience of at least state level competition or equivalent and be prepared and able to finance their trip to this years Nationals which will be held in Tallebudgera on the Gold Coast of Queensland.

We will be going to see The Last Samurai on Tuesday 20 Janurary. The movie starts at 6.45pm at the Village Cinema, 206 Bourke St. (Nova is not screening it.)
Tickets are $9 (adults and students).

Anyone who would like to go for dinner beforehand meet in front of the cinema at 5.30pm and we will find something in Chinatown. If you can't make dinner, meet us at 6.30pm in front of the cinema. email Michael with any questions.
Many of you may know that a new movie "The Last Samurai" staring Tom Cruise (as an American) and will be out on the 15th of Janurary.
For our first UMKC event of 2004 we are organising a group to go see the movie when it is released.
