The UMKC Club Championships will held on Saturday 22nd October. 1pm - 5pm, West Stadium, Sports Centre. (Usual place)
Entry is open to any UMKC club member who is 6th kyu and above.
Anybody who hasn't graded yet, but would like to compete should ask Sensei first. (but if you've been wearing men for a while and done jigeiko this should be fine.)
The competition format is yet to be finalized, but there will be at least two sections.
"Lower kyu" - those who started this year, or middle last year with little/no shiai experience.
"Higher kyu" - everyone else.
Depending on numbers we might also have a Dan competition.
We will also have a casual pizza night after the comp.
We will need some volunteers to help out on the day with ribbons, time keeping, scoring, so if you don't think you are ready for shiai, would still be great idea to come along!
All those wishing to compete need to email the committee : kendo AT musa.net.au with your name and current grade by Wednesday 12th October.
Spectators from other clubs are more than welcome.
