To celebrate the end of another year, we are having dinner at Meshiya Restaurant 200 Lonsdale St. (In QV Block, opposite the Greek restaurants) Monday 28th November 7.30pm
The cost will be $15 per person. Meal will include a variety of Japanese dishes, and a drink. Vegetarian meals are available - Please tell us when you pay.
Please give your money to Erick or Yvonne at training as soon as possible, but no later than Monday 21st November. Places are limited - please do not expect a spot if you just show up on the night!
I'm proud to report that UMKC performed very well in today's Mumeishi Threes Competition in Berwick.
Our 2 teams: UMKC A (Eric, Michael, Avi) and UMKC B (Russel, Tom, Kev C) came 2nd and 1st in their respective pools and then won their second round matches, to advance to the final 3 teams.
UMKC B then beat Mumeishi (2-1) and UMKC A (3-0) UMKC A then also beat Mumeishi (1-1 on pts.)
Which left the final between UMKC A and UMKC B.
UMKC B were too strong for UMKC A winning all 3 shiai to win the Tournament.
Kevin Chin received the fighting spirit award, which tops off a great year for Kev - he has won Fighting Spirit awards at UMKC Club Champs and now Mumeishi, as well as the Green and Gold award at AUG.
