UMKC Championships

The UMKC Championships will be held over two days on Monday the 22nd of October, and Wednesday the 24th of October, during regular training times. After the competition on Wednesday will be a casual pizza night.

There will be 2 divisions:
Junior - for those who have begun kendo in 2007,
Kyu - for all other kyu grades,
and there will possibly be a Dan division if numbers permit.

Juniors are highly encouraged to participate, as this will be your first formal shiai and valuable experience for your kendo career. Everyone should attend both days to provide support and assistance in running the event when they are not competing.

Please email the committee or post your interest in the forums if you wish to compete ASAP.

The UMKC Website
The UMKC website has finally returned! The sports association servers have been plagued with a long series of problems, ranging from bankrupt providers to virus infections. We will be switching to our own personal server in the next few weeks which will guarantee us increased security and efficiency. What this means for you is: a reliable UMKC website where you can, once again, get all the information you need about UMKC!

Thank you for your patience in this matter.
