AUG Information for Candidates and Supporters
1. Team Candidates
Thank you for registering your interest in the AUG. We have received a lot of interest, and tryouts will be necessary to form the team. Work hard, attend team trainings, bond with your fellow candidates, and you'll have a good time and a great chance of making the team.

1a. Team Trainings
Please be aware that team trainings will commence on Friday, July 3rd, and will continue every Friday morning until the AUG. All team candidates are required to attend these trainings - it will certainly increase your chances of selection. Our coach, Andrew, will be conducting these trainings, and they will be designed to prepare you for competition, as well as team bonding. Friday morning trainings are from 7:00 - 8:30 am, but you may leave a little earlier if you have commitments (ie class).

1b. Selections
Selections will be held in the first week of Semester 2, on Wednesday 29th of July. A deposit will be required soon after to confirm your place.

1c. Cost
The cost for airfares, accommodation, registration, and uniforms has been set at $600.00. Please note this does not include food, fun, and public transport expenses.

1d. Competition
The competition will be held on Wednesday, September 30th, at All Saints Anglican School.

2. Supporters
We have already received many queries about AUG supporters. Generally, we have a few supporters each year, and they do boost the team's morale and performance. They also help with photography and video. Most importantly, they will be able to join in the fun of the Gold Coast with the team.

Provided there is enough interest, we may be able to organise a group trip for supporters. The package will include airfares and accommodation, and will likely be less than $600. Like the team, supporters will stay the same length of time. There is no limit on numbers for the support crew.

We are now accepting interest for being part of the support group. Please email Viet at vhoang00 AT gmail with your interest, before Wednesday 29th of July. A deposit will be required soon after as confirmation.

If there are any further questions, please email Viet at vhoang00 AT gmail .

Dinner and Zekken registrations due
A reminder that tomorrow, Monday June 22 is the deadline for the End-of-semester dinner registration. It is a bi-annual social event held by the club at the end of every semester and is usually attended by many members of UMKC. Hence it will be great if as many as possible can come this time. Again, the venue will be at Krataron on Monday June 29 and we will be heading there right after training.

Also, the deadline for Zekken registrations is this Wednesday, June 24. Otherwise, I hope to see you during training soon!

UMKC President
