As you all know last Saturday and Sunday the 35th Australian Kendo Championships (AKC) were held in Melbourne at MSAC. The following are the results of the events:
Day 1.
- Open Individual – 1 B Smith (Vic), 2 Y Miyamoto (Vic).
- Womens Open Individual – 1 K Sylvester (Vic). 2 C Kobayashi (Vic).
- Mens Kyu Individual – 1 B Yehuda (WA), 2 J Tang (ACT) .
- Womens Kyu Individual - 1 S Song (NSW), 2 M Fenn (WA).
Day 2.
- Kyu Teams – (after a tie break playoff) 1 Victoria, 2 NSW.
- Womens Teams – 1 Victoria, 2 NSW.
- Veterans Individual – 1 T Nishimoto (NSW), 2 N Tamura (QLD).
- Kata – 1 Victoria, 2 QLD.
- Open Teams – (a very exciting final) 1 Victoria, 2 NSW.
