The 2012 MUKEN Beginners' Course will run from March 5th to April 19th, and will cost $80.
If you are interested in taking up kendo, or you are willing to challenge yourself in different ways, pay a visit to MUKEN. You do not have to pay immediately, so you can see if kendo really is for you.
The Beginners' Course - and MUKEN - is for all people and is not limited to students.
Our friends from the Kenshikan wish to inform you of:- Two Japanese sensei to be visiting this Thursday,

FRIDAY NIGHT TRAINING AT THE KENSHIKAN
Day: Friday, the 3rd February Time: dojo opens at 7.00, keiko from 7.30 - 8.30. Place: Kenshikan Cost: $5 (to go towards the maintenance of Kenshikan's new floor.)
SENSEI VISIT THE KENSHIKAN
Usually this Thursday's training session would be Kata as it's the first Thursday of the month. However, we'll be having two Senseis visiting and therefore we will be having normal Kendo training. The Senseis are Iwaya Sensei, 7th Dan, and Fukuda Sensei, 6th Dan. If you're able to attend please do so.
A club Twitter account has been created at http://twitter.com/MelbUniKen . You will be able to keep up to date with the club in 160 characters or less!
Additionally, the http://umkc.org.au website will now be updated regularly with the same information that members receive via email, and major announcements will be posted on the Facebook group too.
Please be advised that due to the Australia Day public holiday on Thursday 26th of January, the Sports Centre will be closed early and as a result MUKEN training will be cancelled.
However, Wednesday morning training will be on as usual.
As of now, our club has elected in the new interim positions to fill in the gaps. The positions are as such:

I would like to warmly welcome our new committee members. Andrew, Kevin and Viet have been with the club for a very long time, and are very experienced with running the club.
In addition to that, I would like to thank Kin On, Joanna and Vincent for the service they have done to the club. I wish you all the best of luck with your foray into the working world, and hope that you will come back to train with us some time soon.
