MUKEN VKC Results
An excellent performance by Team MUKEN at the VKC.

Final MUKEN results:
Kyu Individuals - 2nd, Richard Loi; Equal 3rd Richard T'en
Kyu Womens - 1st, Meera Chandrananth
Kata Pairs - 2nd, Kevin Chin and Son Nguyen
Kyu Teams - 1st and 2nd
Open Teams - 2nd
 
Fighting Spirit - Josh Chan

Of 21 MUKEN competitors, 17 received medals. A fantastic result!

Our success is thanks to Yakov Sensei, Kenji, Andrew, and all the other seniors who have coached us the past few weeks!

How to get to the VKC


I've taken the liberty of creating a map and directions to get to the venue tomorrow, because a few people don't know how to get there and can't use the internet! (It is really not that hard!)

Catching the 7:27am Werribee Train from Flinders Street station to Footscray Station should allow you enough time to walk from the station to VU.

Once at VU, look for Building L. You should arrive a little after 8:00am.


Everyone please ensure you wear your club jackets and use your club tenugui. If you do not have a club jacket, please wear something as close to the club colours as possible. Spectators should wear club jackets as well!

Also make sure your shinai and armour are maintained.

Important reminders for 06/08/12

Hi All,

1. Morning Training for this Week
There will be no morning session this Wednesday as college sports continue.

There will be Friday morning training in the LAZER room (so beware of the lasers).


2. Renovations to the Sports Centre
The sports centre will be undergoing renovations in the coming months. Several areas of the building will be inaccessible during this time.

The West Stadium and our storeroom will be unaffected and training will continue as usual.

However, starting from October 1st, the changerooms will be closed. Pending confirmation, we will need to get changed in the adjacent Beaurepaire building. Please stay tuned.


3. Lost and Found
A uniform (gi + hakama) was left behind in the male changerooms after training tonight. If it is yours, please contact me.
