The annual intra-club championship will be held on Saturday, the 17th of November from 12:00pm (with registration at 11:30am) at the West Stadium.
This tournament is open to MUKEN kenshi only. All MUKEN members are encouraged to compete. For many this will be your first tournament in kendo, and it will be a good chance to experience this very important and necessary aspect of the art.
We are now calling for entries. You are allowed to enter ONE of the following divisions: - Beginners' - Womens' - Kyu - Dan 1st, 2nd, and in some cases equal 3rd places will be awarded medals. The top two places may be allowed to move into the next division, depending on the draws.
(Please note: If there are not enough competitors for the Womens' division, it may be merged with the other divisions.)

The end of year dinner will follow the championships.
The Victorian Kendo Renmei will be hosting a Masquerade Ball on the night of Saturday, the 27th of October, from 7:30pm.

Of Changerooms, Morning Trainings, VKR Keiko, and Certificates
Changerooms are closedPlease note that the changerooms in the Sports Centre will be close for the next four months as they are undergoing renovations. We can instead change in the adjacent Beaurepaire Centre (the gym and aquatics centre) or if you are feeling brave, you can change in the dojo itself (including the maintenance closet, which although dusty, is quite private).
Morning Trainings Please note that morning trainings will be back to the normal schedule of Wednesday mornings in the West Stadium - Friday morning sessions will not be running any more.
No VKR Friday Night Keiko this week There is usually an open keiko every first Friday of the month. However, there will be no VKR keiko this month. See below for further details.
Grading Certificates Grading certificates are now collectible for those who took their kyu gradings at the beginning of September.
